Samuel M. Shikiar, CFA
Sam joined Shikiar Asset Management Inc. in 2018 as a Managing Director and at year end 2022 was named Co-CEO. Prior to joining the firm, he spent 11 years at Goldman Sachs in the Asset Management Division with the Quantitative Investment Strategies Group and subsequently within the Securities Division, where he was the Global Head of an Electronic Sales and Trading team. Sam advised several of the world’s largest systematic and discretionary hedge funds and asset managers in this role. He was nominated by Goldman Sachs and thereafter selected to be on the Forbes Magazine “30 Under 30” list for Finance in 2014. As a passionate supporter of the arts, Sam also serves as Co-Chair of the Guggenheim Museum Curators Circle and has also been a Trustee of the New York Academy of Art and an Acquisition Committee member at the Whitney Museum. He is an alumnus of The Dalton School in New York and graduated with Highest Honors from Lehigh University with a degree in Accounting. Sam is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder. He lives in New York City with his wife and their two children.
